Meditative Drawing: Pattern Play II
Create 16 beautiful new patterns using meditative drawing techniques. You will learn by drawing structured patterns in a step-by-step method. There is a $6 supply fee payable to the instructor.

Meditative drawing is a fun, relaxed way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We will explore patterns inspired by the continent of Australia including aboriginal and modern day influences. See you in class, mate. A $7 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Meditative Drawing: Art Deco
The art deco movement originated in the 1920s and developed into a major style of decorative arts and architecture in Western Europe and the U.S. during the 1930s. Meditate, relax, and learn tangles inspired by the sleek, nontraditional elegance that symbolized wealth and sophistication. These tangles will feature simple, clean-shaped lines with a streamlined look. If you enjoyed the art nouveau class last spring, this class is for you. A $7 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Meditative Drawing: Tangled Garden Inspirations
Create tangled beauties with free-flowing tangle patterns and an organic feel. Projects include a garden walk, fantasy garden, watering can, and flowerpot of tangled flowers. Do not miss the chance to create some tangled gardens. A $7 supply fee is payable to the instructor.

Gear up for the evolution of beautiful patterns throughout history. Explore patterns inspired by the Stone Age, Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman times. Meditative drawing is a fun and relaxing method of creating beautiful images. No previous drawing experience required. A $7 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Community Education Zentangle Classes
Zentangle®: All Toned Up
Step up the basic Zentangle method to create beautiful abstract images by drawing structured patterns on toned color surfaces: black, tan, and gray. Bring basic tangle supplies and a white gel pen to class. You must have taken “Zentangle: Advanced” or have the instructor’s permission to take this class. A $6 supply fee is payable to the instructor.

Zentangle®: A Little LimeChallenge yourself with this advanced class. Explore the style, tangles, and techniques of Aussie tangler, Helen Williams. Williams’ style involves turning common tangles into free form organic artwork and converting free form tangles into beautiful structured works of art. “Zentangle: Advanced” or permission from the instructor is a prerequisite to take this class. Bring a micron 01 or 02, pencil and tortillion to class. A $6 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Zentangle®: Special Projects Tangled Flexagons
Create a unique pattern that appears and acts like a kaleidoscope when flexed. Flexagons are polygons made from strips of paper to create a fascinating property of changing their faces. “Zentangle: Advanced” or permission from the instructor is a prerequisite to take this class. Bring a black micron 02, pencil, blender, and scissors to class. A $5 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Continue to develop your Zentangle method as you learn more about strings, tangle enhancers, shading, and tangle patterns that require a higher focus level. Bring your Zentangle mini-kit from the “Zentangle: Basics” class. A $6 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Zentangle®: Special Projects Pointed Pen Tangling
This advanced class changes the rules with the use of the pointed pen, finetec gold, and a lot of flourishing to create unique tangles. A little bling goes a long way as you tangle with gold on darker paper and traditional calligraphy elements. Bring a size 1 paintbrush or water brush and an apron or smock to class. A $10 supply fee is payable to the instructor
Zentangle®: Basics II
Explore 16 introductory tangles not taught in the basics class. Use the Zentangle easy-to-learn, step-by-step, relaxing drawing method to create beautiful structured patterns. Bring a black 01 or 02 micron, pencil and tortillion to class. A $3 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
Zentangle®: Tangle Relationship Methods
Take your Zentangle journey to a new level by learning different methods to create the relationship between tangles and boundaries, bridges, and blends. This class is for anyone who has been thinking about composing tangles on tiles or curious about what tangles to use together. Bring a black micron 01 or 02, a graphic 1 pen, a pencil and tortillion. A $2 supply fee is payable to the instructor.
